'Community' Help

This part of the website offers users a unique opportunity to stay connected to the Capital Region Community. If you click on Community you will see the following:

  • Calendar: Events Click on this to view various events that are happening in the community. If there is an event that you would like to add to our calendar you can let us know by clicking on the Click here bar and then following the Send a Comment instructions. You can also call us at 518-591-8704.

  • Calendar: Support Groups Click on this to view various support groups that are meeting throughout the Capital Region. Again, if you have a support group that you’d like added to this calendar, use the Click here bar or call us.

  • Opportunities Lets you know what is going on in the Capital Region. Click on any event that interests you.

  • Classified Ads Here you can either browse the existing ads or create your own classified ad by using the following steps.

    • To place a classified ad on our website you must first become a registered user. To accomplish this simply click on the Please click here to register line. Then follow the registration instructions.

    • Once you are a registered user click on Post to classifieds which will bring you to the Create Ad box.

    • Enter information about your ad in the appropriate fields marked Category , Subcategory , Headline , Description , Image, Zip Code , Start Date, Expiration Date, and Price. (Fields marked with a red dot (required field) are required to complete this form).

    • Once you’ve entered all the information, click on the Create Ad box.

    • Your ad will be reviewed and posted on site pending approval from the Site Administrator.
  • Forum For instructions on how best to use the forum please see the forum page and then click on Please click here for suggestions about using the Forum.

  • Chat After clicking on Chat, Enter the Chat Room by choosing a Nickname, entering it in the field and then click on Connect. This will enable you to participate in any online chats that are in progress.
